Napoleon's Privates - It's Gone and I'm not Finished!

The book has disappeared.

Friday, I was in the middle of the 2nd to last chapter, totally rocking on the gossip and Big K decided we should get takeout. Eager for the chance to slip out of cooking for the night, I tossed the book on the ottoman and jumped for the takeout binder (Yes, I'm that anal. We have all our take out menus in a binder. Where is my straight-jacket?).

The book has been missing since.

I have turned this house upside down. I have crawled around on the floor, looked in the couch, questioned both dogs and Big K. No one knows where it is.

I hate leaving a book unfinished. It's like leaving the dishes half done or eating a half a piece of cake. It irks me, makes me crazy. I HAVE TO FINISH!!!

I'm off to call the bloodhounds, the National Guard and Gill Grisom from CSI. Some one needs to find that damn book!

Ooh that is annoying. I guess get a new copy. Was it from the library?

No, thank God. I am the worst at returning library books so I have to buy.

I ended up finding the book in my CAR! I have on idea why it's in there. I'm only 31. Is that too early to have memory problems?

I'm gonna burn through the rest of it tonight.

Oh! I hate when I lose a book I'm reading! It's happened more than once. Often times I will find them in the car, having forgotten that I've taken them with me to the doctors or somewhere equally boring and am in such a hurry to get back to the house, I forget it in the car.

Though there are a few books I haven't finished that weren't found in the car or any where else and I loathe to have to buy a new one, because that means I'll find the other one shortly later. Ugh!
